Cookie Policy
Last updated: 24 July 2026
This Cookie Policy describes the use of cookies and similar technologies on the www.carrotstudio.it website.
For more information on the processing of personal data, the providers used and the rights of data subjects, you may also consult the site’s Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website may store on the user’s device while browsing.
They may be used, for example, to:
- ensure the technical functioning of the site;
- remember certain preferences;
- measure the use of the pages;
- distinguish users and sessions;
- improve security, performance and the browsing experience.
Some cookies are deleted when the browser is closed, while others may remain stored for a longer period.
2. Which technologies the site uses
The site may use:
- strictly necessary cookies;
- analytics cookies;
- local storage tools or similar technologies;
- technical systems needed to record the choice expressed in the cookie banner.
The categories actually used depend on the technical configuration of the site and on the preferences selected by the user.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
Strictly necessary cookies enable the technical functioning, security and management of the site’s preferences.
They may be used, for example, to:
- store the choice made in the cookie banner;
- prevent improper use;
- ensure the correct delivery of the pages;
- maintain settings essential to the functioning of the site.
These cookies are not used for advertising purposes.
When they are genuinely necessary for the provision of the site or of a feature requested by the user, they may be activated without prior consent.
4. Google Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google, to understand how the pages are viewed and to improve content, structure and performance.
Google Analytics may collect information relating to:
- pages visited;
- duration and sequence of browsing;
- interactions with the site;
- the source of the visit;
- browser type;
- device and operating system;
- approximate geographic area;
- sessions and recurring visits.
CarrotStudio does not voluntarily transmit to Google Analytics names, email addresses or content entered in the contact form.
Google Analytics normally uses first-party cookies to distinguish users and sessions.
5. Cookies used by Google Analytics
Based on the standard configuration of Google Analytics 4, the following cookies may be used:
| Cookie | Purpose | Default duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes the users of the site | Up to 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Maintains information relating to the session | Up to 2 years |
The actual duration may depend on the configuration of the service, the user’s choice, the browser settings and any limitations applied by the device.
The <ID> identifier varies according to the Google Analytics property configured on the site.
Google may change the names, purposes or duration of its cookies over time. For up-to-date information you may consult Google’s documentation and privacy policy.
6. Consent to analytics cookies
Where required by the applicable legislation, Google Analytics and the related analytics cookies are activated only after the user has given consent through the cookie banner.
On the first visit, the user may:
- accept the analytics cookies;
- reject non-necessary cookies;
- consult further information before choosing.
Refusing the analytics cookies should not prevent the normal viewing of the pages.
Merely continuing to browse is not considered consent where an explicit choice is required.
7. Changing or withdrawing consent
The user may change or withdraw their choice at any time through the link or the dedicated cookie preferences panel available on the site.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out before the withdrawal.
After changing the preferences, it may be necessary to refresh the page so that the new setting is fully applied.
8. Managing cookies through the browser
The user may also view, block or delete cookies through their browser settings.
The methods may vary depending on the browser and the version used. Generally, the relevant options are found in the sections dedicated to privacy, security or site data.
In the most common browsers, the settings are generally available in the following paths:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data;
- Safari: Settings or Preferences → Privacy → Manage website data;
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and site data;
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Deleting cookies may also remove the preference previously saved in the banner. In that case, the site may ask the user to express a choice again.
9. Tools that do not necessarily install cookies on the device
CarrotStudio also uses technical and monitoring tools that do not necessarily involve the installation of cookies through the site.
Google Search Console
Google Search Console is used to check indexing, performance in search results and any technical issues with the site.
CarrotStudio consults aggregated data relating, for example, to queries, clicks, impressions, countries and devices.
Search Console is not used by CarrotStudio to directly identify individual visitors.
Google PageSpeed Insights
Google PageSpeed Insights may be used to analyse the performance, accessibility and technical quality of the public pages.
The use of this tool by CarrotStudio does not necessarily entail the installation of cookies in the browser of the site’s visitors.
Vercel
The site is hosted and distributed through Vercel.
The infrastructure may process technical data, such as IP address, requested page, date and time of access, browser, device and security information.
The use of Vercel as hosting does not, in itself, imply that analytics or advertising cookies are installed on the user’s device.
10. Third-party cookies
Some cookies or tools used by the site are provided by third parties, in particular Google.
When a third-party service is activated, the relevant provider may process information in accordance with its own terms and privacy policies.
CarrotStudio configures these services in relation to the purposes of the site, but does not independently control all the technical aspects of the cookies set by external providers.
Changes introduced by the providers may result in updates to this Cookie Policy.
11. International transfers
Google and other technical providers may process data in countries other than Switzerland.
Where necessary, such transfers take place on the basis of the safeguards provided for by the applicable legislation, such as adequacy decisions, recognised contractual clauses or other appropriate instruments.
Further information is available in the privacy policies of the respective providers.
12. Updates to the Cookie Policy
CarrotStudio may update this Cookie Policy in the event of:
- changes to the tools used;
- the introduction or removal of cookies;
- changes in the Google Analytics configuration;
- regulatory updates;
- changes to the methods of collecting or processing data.
The most recent version is published on this page together with the date of the last update.
